Gay Penguins Get Cold Shoulder

Penguins are very cute and whenever i go to a zoo or aquarium, they are some of my favorites to spend time oohing and ahhing over! It's widely known that gayness, and i don't mean happiness here, runs in the animal kingdom. Penguins are a large segment that are gay. Thank you to Terra at Questionable Rationale for a story about Gay Penguins getting the cold shoulder.

"In China, there’s this gay penguin couple living at a zoo. They recently had to be segregated from the rest of the penguins because they kept STEALING eggs from the straight penguins:

“Keepers have segregated the couple after they caught them trying to trick straight birds into parting with their offspring by placing round stones at their feet and then running off with an egg.”

“One of the responsibilities of being a male adult is looking after the eggs. Despite this being a biological impossibility for this couple, the natural desire is still there,” explained a keeper.”

Zoo officials explained that this isn’t discrimination or homophobia, it’s just a safety precaution because who knows what those gay penguins will do once the eggs hatch."

"Three Millennia Of Medical Marijuana, Ctd"

Last January Katryna and i were in Amsterdam. This was not my first time like it was for Katryna, but there was a first for me. i BROKE my drug virginity and smoked pot everyday for the four days we were there. They have these cool 'coffee' shops where you can legally purchase pot, sit and smoke, while having a cup of coffee. They are like the McDonalds of pot smoking places. People stop in on their way to work for a coffee and a quick smoke. There is a menu board on the wall with all the different grades of weed and hash. We found the BEST coffee shop in Amsterdam. The cool decor and close proximity to our hotel made Abraxas THE place to relax and warm up from the bitter cold and very wet winter we were experiencing in Amsterdam. i found smoking it in a water pipe/bong to be the best way to get the desired effect. i felt great, did not have all the bad effects of drinking alcohol, slept well, and woke with no hangover. i think small amounts of pot should be legal. i'd even be open to our own 'coffee' shops here in the states. Not sure if it will ever happen, but i can HOPE!

So, it's funny that i came across a post at Andrew Sullivan's The Daily Dish that talks about Medical Marijuana being legal long ago in the olden days. As a person with Chronic Lyme Disease, which in turn causes chronic pain, i would benefit from the legalization of marjuana. When we move back to California, i am going to look into it since medical marijuana is legal there.

Sullivan says,

"Decriminalizing cannabis would not be a radical departure from the norm of human history. It would be a return to it."

To the Catholic Church, it's none of your damn business who your adherents vote for in an election. People are not required to tell others who they are voting to elect for president or any other elected official. Remember, it is between the person and the voting booth. It's between the person and their own conscience. It's between the person and their Creator. It is NOT between the person and the church. This is one of the reasons we have SEPARATION OF CHURCH & STATE!!!!! You have no right to deny a person communion, in my opinion! THIS is RIDICULOUS!
